Introduction

The story of this book is inspired by Adele’s third studio album, “25”. This album is a “make-up record” that reflects Adele’s life and frame of mind at 25 years old. The story I created for this album is a coming-off age story about the growth of an abandoned girl, Arya.

Arya was abandoned on a ship headed for America in 1988 when she was 5 years old. She arrived completely alone with nothing but a white cat stayed with her. Even though she was taken in by the captain and his wife, they raised her as slave. She fled to seek the warmth of a hug in her memory. Along the way, she realized the warmth of friendship, the loss of love and the greatness of family, and finally, she met with friendship, love and familial affection after she overcame those hardship.

Based on the story content, I got the idea to use the scene of the warmth of a hug to present this story through a book jacket.
